Set on the northern coast of Antigua, these areas offer picturesque views of the ocean and are home to beautifully appointed private homes, and a few boutique luxury hotels such as Hodge’s Bay Club and Blue Waters Resort. Nearby attractions include the offshore Prickly Pear Island, Gilly Gobinet Art Gallery, and Fort Barrington. These areas are less than 10 minutes from Dickenson Bay (a hub for restaurants and nightly entertainment), the Cedar Valley Golf Course, the Caribbean Cinema Complex, supermarkets and the city of St. John’s.
St. John’s is the capital of the picturesque island of Antigua. English Harbour is a natural harbour, home to the world’s only working Georgian dockyard and Shirley’s Heights. In 2016, the Antigua Naval Dockyard and related archaeological sites became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. English Harbour is home to many international and locally themed restaurants and entertainment spots. It is the center for boating, especially yachting, and offers a plethora of boating repairs and docking services. There are also many hiking trails in the area.
Willoughby Bay is a large bay on the southeastern coast of Antigua. It is located slightly to the southwest of Nonsuch Bay and Half Moon Bay and close to the well-known Falmouth Harbour and historic English Harbour on the southern coast of Antigua. The area is much less developed than other parts of Antigua but is home to beautiful white sand beaches and tranquil surroundings.
This is a secluded, unspoilt bay on the eastern coast of Antigua in the parish of Saint Phillip. Nonsuch Bay is home to the Nonsuch Bay Resort complex, which includes a resort and residences for sale, short-term and long-term rentals. The resort boasts a private on-site beach as well as five deserted beaches on nearby Green Island which is a short boat ride offshore. Nearby attractions include excellent restaurants, the historic Devil’s Bridge, Half Moon Bay, Long Bay and the unique and eclectic Donkey Sanctuary.
Half Moon Bay boasts one of the most spectacular white sand crescent beaches in the world. It is home to Antigua’s newest citizenship by investment development Moon Gate Antigua a 49 suite hotel and spa, as well as the Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, The area is an easy journey to the airport, well removed from the traffic of St. John's. Half Moon Bay is also in close proximity to Shirley’s Heights, Nelson’s Dockyard National Park and historic English Harbour.
Jolly Harbour is a resort village on the west coast of Antigua in the parish of Saint Mary’s. It is home to shops, restaurants, a full scale international supermarket, laundromat and boat services. Sandy beaches nearby include Jolly Beach, Ffryes Beach, Valley Church Beach and Darkwood Beach. The Jolly Harbour Golf Club has an 18-hole championship course. The community is about 20 minutes’ drive from the capital, St. John’s.
